Vineet firmly believes that an organisation can sustainably grow if it creates a meaningful difference in the lives of its customers.
Anujeet Varadkar
Chief Executive Officer
A graduate in Agriculture Science and post-graduate in Management studies, Anujeet brings in more than 20 years of rich work experience in Rural India. Before he began his journey in Svatantra Microfin, he was associated with the Agri-Input Sales, Agriculture Loans, Tractor Loans, and Channel Finance for Agri-dealers for the well-known financial corporates such as Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra. He was one of the core strategic mind in his last stint with Mahindra & Mahindra for their rural products. In his association with Svatantra Microfin and under his leadership as the Chief Executive Officer, the company has transcended from 13 employees, 6 branches, and 1 state to 4000+ employees, 490+ branches and 17 States. He is a true believer of disruption through technology for digitising and optimizing processes and transaction. Anujeet wishes to create a unique name for Svatantra in the areas of governance, thought leadership and innovation.
Vrushali Mahajan
Chief Financial Officer
A qualified Chartered Accountant, Vrushali has over 19 years of experience in the banking sector along with other service industries. Her expertise lies in accounting, taxation, regulatory compliances and audits, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting and management reporting. Vrushali worked as the Financial Controller at Ratnakar Bank before joining Svatantra.
KRANTI SETY
Senior Vice President – Human Resources
Kranti brings in 19 years+ of rich work experience in the field of Human Resources with diverse industries spread across India, Asia, America, UK and other geographies. As a passionate HR professional she has been at the helm of building and developing organisations, aligned with the larger business goals. In her erstwhile profile she was associated with reputed companies in the field of IT & IT Services, Consulting & Transformation Services, Biotechnology & Diagnostics, Institutional Equities & Investment Banking. Before embarking the journey with Svatantra, she was with Suryoday Micro Finance Pvt Ltd. as Associate Vice President - Human Resources.
Surinder Kumar Bhatia
Senior Vice President – Legal and Secretarial
A qualified Company Secretary with an LLB Degree, Surinder has over 20 years of experience in the legal and secretarial domain. Prior to joining Svatantra, he worked at DLF Limited, Moser Baer and Magnum Power Generation. His last assignment was with S V Creditline Pvt. Ltd., a microfinance company, where he worked for five years as a Company Secretary, ensuring the secretarial and RBI Compliances.
Pranay Singh
Vice-President - Information Technology
Pranay’s love for database is the core of his career choice. Likes to classify himself as a process oriented Engineer, has more than two decades of experience in the area of Service Operations, Project Management and Implementation. Travelled exhaustively in and around Asian & African Countries for various technology initiatives to streamline business process. Has in-depth knowledge about Banking and Finance domain, and has been a key resource in core technical project implementation and execution.
Vikas Kalibaug
Vice President – Risk
Vikas is a Chartered Accountant with over 14 years of experience in the Internal Audit and Risk Management profile across various industries such as Shipping, Ports, Telecom, Manufacturing and Microfinance sector. He has worked with Aditya Birla Group for close to 12 years in the Corporate Audit function prior to joining team Svatantra. Vikas is passionate about Internal Audits, Risk Management, Process Manuals, and Improvements Projects. He has worked across multiple geographies and cultures in North American, European, African, Far East and South Asian countries including India for his assignments. Absolute detailing and continuous improvements is his mantra.
Umang Shah
Deputy Vice President- Information Technology
An initiator and tech passionate persona defines Umang. He holds degree in Electrical Engineering and MBA from the reputed Welingkar Institute of Management Studies. A pro supporter of design thinking to address challenges and make customer experience inhabitable. Prior to working with Svatantra, he was working as a lead for Aditya Birla Mgmt. Corp’s digital business. In this role he lead various initiatives in the areas of digital transformation and change management to enable the company adopt to newer technologies and achieve significant business value through use of technology. He has also worked as a key tech initiator with conglomerates such as New Work New Culture (Michigan) and Reliance Power.
Shashikant Solaskar
Deputy Vice President – Information Security
With over 15 years of experience in Information Technology, Shashikant joined Svatantra Microfin with a vision to streamline and strengthen Information Security process of the company. His role in Svatantra is to establish and maintain Information Security strategy, business continuity, and compliance. Prior to this he worked as a Solution Architect with Birla Management Centre Services Ltd (BMCSL) and implemented initiatives in the areas of IT security. The job involved identifying new technologies to enable business to address emerging or latest threats. He is a certified ISO 27001:2013 lead auditor. In his personal capacity, he enjoys photography, trekking and long drive.
Rahul Mishra
Assistant Vice President - Corporate Audit
Rahul, Chartered Accountant and a Law Graduate, has over 10 years of Internal Audit experience across various industries. He was working with Aditya Birla Group before joining Svatantra Microfin. Integrity, transparency, and objectivity are the key fundamentals of his work ethos. Rahul's expertise is in the area of Internal Auditing, Risk Assessment and Fraud Risk Management with an in-depth knowledge of business processes, risk and internal control framework for the Manufacturing, Service and Micro-finance industries.
Ramulu Nalamadu
Assistant Vice President – Administration
An agile administrator and a sharp negotiator with an eye for detail defines Ramulu’s persona; with 19 years of rich experience spread across General Administration, Infrastructure Setup, Process Automation, Team Management, Facility Management and Vendor Management. Before Joining Svatantra, he was associated with ICICI Prudential Life. Integrity, Transparency, and hardwork are the key fundamentals of his work ethos.
